Nick first began taking photographs on a Primary School trip to Paris aged just about 7, using an antiquated 'Brownie' camera. This early enthusiasm for photography, growing on a love of light and form, was then developed at Art School and Trent Polytechnic Nottingham where he studied for 3 years, spending a quarter of the course on exchange in America at the Maryland Institute of Art in Baltimore.

Upon graduation Nick went to London and worked in a wide variety of disciplines: Food, Landscape, Advertising, Reportage, Sunday Magazine Supplement, and principally, Fashion, ending this period working as a freelance assistant at Vogue Magazine. Since then he has mostly worked on personal projects and is currently engaged, with a horticultural specialist, in the creation of a new reference book for trees and flowering shrubs..

Nick's passion for artistic excellence in his composition, allied with the impact and energy of 'Street Photography' that has been the focus of much of his personal work combines to great effect, as you can see in the portfolios.
